General inquiries

Since 1947, William Ashley has prided itself on providing its customers with a superior level of industry knowledge and customer service. It is William Ashley’s first priority to ensure that you are satisfied with your product.

Once you place an order online for delivery, William Ashley will notify you by email within 4 to 7 business days that your order is ready to ship out, or if there are any delays due to stock availability.

Before orders are shipped out, they are inspected by our quality control personnel and are professionally packed by our experienced packers. To ensure our fragile products arrive safely, all orders are packed with 100% recyclable materials.

William Ashley is based in Ontario, Canada and all Canadian orders are shipping from there.

For deliveries outside Ontario for orders under $299, you can obtain the Shipping Charge on the checkout page by inputing the desired shipping address.

William Ashley provides customized packaging for every order. All orders are professionally packed, so that the occurrence of damage is rare. Rest assured that all shipments are insured for both damages and loss.

CANADA - OUTSIDE OF ONTARIO

Any orders being shipped outside of Ontario are subject to the applicable sales tax of the destination province.

UNITED STATES

William Ashley ships to the continental United States. The minimal shipping charge for orders to the US is CAD $55.00. Shipments to the United States are not subject to Canadian sales taxes; however, duties and brokerage fees may apply and will be charged directly to your credit card on behalf of US Customs. If the order is being mailed, any applicable duties would be payable to the US Postal Service upon delivery.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

At this time, William Ashley China is unable to ship outside continental North America.

GIFT WRAPPING

All delivery orders are packed for safety, therefore it is not possible to offer gift packaging for delivery items. Should you require gift packaging, we will gladly facilitate complimentary gift packaging on pick up orders at our 131 Bloor St W, Toronto store.

Please unpack your order completely. In the event that an item(s) is received damaged, please keep all original packaging and contact our Customer Service Department immediately at [email protected]

exchanges or returns

For exchanges or returns to be sent back or returned to the Toronto Bloor Street, we will gladly accept merchandise in original condition and accompanied with a proof of purchase.

  • Within 30 days, a full refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
  • After 30 days, a return may be made at William Ashley's discretion.*

The amount of your credit note or refund will reflect the price of the item(s) plus taxes paid at time of purchase (excluding delivery/return charges).

*Please Note: In certain instances a restocking fee may apply.

exchange and return process

Please follow the steps below:

  • Please contact us immediately if you are planning to return your purchase/gift.
  • Ensure all items are in the original product packaging, unwashed, unused, with original manufacturer's stickers still affixed (if the stickers have been removed, this is considered used and cannot be returned).
  • Contact our Customer Service department at [email protected], and print the appropriate Return Form to enclose with your parcel:

purchaser returns

For any merchandise returned by the purchaser within 30 days of advising us, a refund to the original credit card will be issued (less original/return shipping fees). A return after that time period will be subject to a store credit note. All returns are subject to inspection before a refund/credit note is issued.

Except for defective items, the delivery cost of the return is the responsibility of the purchaser.

For any merchandise returned by the recipient of a gift, a store credit note will be issued (less original/return shipping fees).

credit notes

Credit notes never expire and are non-transferable.

Credit notes may not be applied to our Boxing Week specials, Warehouse Sale purchases, and certain special advertised promotions. They are redeemable for merchandise only; they are not redeemable towards gift registries, gift cards or gift coins. Any purchases made with a store credit are considered final sale.
